The plastic film greenhouse is an innovative, cutting-edge structural design that utilizes high-quality plastic film as its primary covering material. This contemporary greenhouse solution is extensively adopted in various agricultural cultivation endeavors and numerous other sectors. Its exceptional versatility and efficiency make it a top choice for modern agricultural needs.
Frame part
The VERTEX Plastic Bag Greenhouse boasts a robust and durable frame, traditionally crafted from high-quality metal materials like steel and galvanized pipes. These pipes are expertly cut, bent, and welded, forming the resilient skeleton that supports the greenhouse. Depending on the greenhouse's size and structural needs, the diameter and thickness of these pipes vary. Smaller greenhouses might employ steel pipes with diameters ranging from 25-32mm, while larger greenhouses are equipped with pipes of greater diameter and thicker walls to assure structural integrity. This ensures they can withstand not only the weight of plastic films but also endure harsh weather conditions like snow and strong winds with ease.
Our frames are available in versatile shapes, with the classic arches and ridges leading the way. The arch greenhouse, with its circular frame, ensures optimal coverage of the plastic film, creating a harmonious distribution of force and expanding the internal space considerably. Ridge-shaped greenhouses, akin to the traditional house ridge, offer exceptional drainage benefits and superior spatial flexibility, making them ideal for certain planting techniques that necessitate increased spatial height.
Plastic film
Our greenhouse employs high-quality plastic films as a pivotal covering material. Polyethylene (PE) and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) films are preferred for their distinctive qualities. PE films, being cost-effective, are renowned for their excellent flexibility and impressive light transmittance of approximately 85%-93%, alongside robust puncture resistance. Meanwhile, PVC films, despite a slightly higher price tag, provide superior thermal insulation and commendable light transmittance reaching 80%-90%. However, it is important to note that over time, the plasticizers in PVC may migrate, potentially affecting film performance.
The plastic films used come in a variety of thicknesses, typically ranging from 0.08-0.2mm. Thicker films promise enhanced durability but at an increased cost. The color of the film also varies; transparent films offer optimal light transmission conducive to plant photosynthesis. Additionally, special pigment-infused films, such as blue films, subtly alter light quality and can significantly enhance the growth of particular plant species.
Ventilation system
Natural ventilation is a popular choice for our plastic film greenhouses, achieved by strategically placing vents along the side walls or roofs. Side wall vents may be in the form of manually adjustable plastic steel windows or film vents operated by rollers, providing easy operation and customizable ventilation based on specific needs. The roof vents typically employ ridge ventilation, utilizing hot air's natural rising tendency to expel warm air efficiently, ensuring effective cooling and ventilation.
In large-scale greenhouses, mechanical ventilation systems enhance airflow efficiency. These systems comprise fans and ventilation pipes; fans are situated on one side, with pipes distributed throughout the greenhouse. Fresh air is systematically circulated, ensuring even distribution across all areas. While this method offers superior ventilation efficiency, it necessitates higher equipment investment and operational expenses.
Sunshade system
The sunshade net is a cornerstone of the greenhouse's sunshade system, offering versatile installation either inside or outside the greenhouse. Internal sunshade nets are straightforward to install and maintain but offer slightly less effective shading. Conversely, external sunshades deliver excellent shading by directly blocking sunlight on the plastic film, thus minimizing heat buildup inside, albeit requiring sturdier installation to resist natural elements like wind and rain.
Our sunshade nets come in an array of shading rates, including 40%, 60%, and 80%. For plants with lower light requirements, such as edible fungi and flower seedlings, a higher shading rate net is advisable to protect against potential damage from intense light exposure.

Lower cost
Compared with glass greenhouses and polycarbonate sheet greenhouses, the construction cost of plastic film greenhouses is much lower. The plastic film itself is cheap, and the frame structure is relatively simple, and the material cost and installation cost are relatively low. This makes plastic film greenhouse in agricultural production more easily accepted by the majority of farmers, especially suitable for small and medium-sized farmers. |
Good light transmission
Transparent plastic film can provide good natural lighting conditions, so that the greenhouse interior light is sufficient, conducive to plant photosynthesis. Moreover, the light transmission performance of plastic film can be adjusted by selecting different film materials and thicknesses to meet the requirements of different plants for light intensity and light quality. |
Construction flexibility
The size and shape of the plastic film greenhouse can be flexibly designed according to the actual site and planting needs. It can be a small simple greenhouse for home gardening or small seedling breeding; It can also be a large multi-storey greenhouse for large-scale vegetable and flower planting. The assembly of the frame structure is relatively simple and the construction period is short. |
